6th Grade

I graduated from Central Michigan University in 1996 with a bachelor degree in elementary education, majoring in language arts and history and have over 50 credit hours of graduate work. In the past few years, I have completed a two year program designed to implement professional learning communities in our district, a comprehensive unit design seminar, and extensive training with establishing relevant learning goals and learning scales for my students. Currently I am involved in a one year learning institute called the Northern Michigan Historical Inquiry Project which is a social studies inititative funded by Michigan State University. Teachers are also continual students!!

This year marks my 19th year of teaching. I grew up in Frankfort and I feel very honored to teach in the same elementary school that I attended. I am very excited about this school year!! My family and I live here in Frankfort and we believe there is no better place on the face of the Earth to raise children. Steve and I have three sons, Evan (16), Luke (13), and Elliott (9).
